Malting barley varieties from Axereal Slovakia offer very good yields

Axereal Slovakia is a part of Axereal central group and Boormalt group. The first malster in the world. In Slovakia we produce with our local partners 2 varieties of Malting barley for supply the local malthouse and the Boormalt malthouses. Our two varieties are :

• RGT PLANET
• SY LAUREATE

These two varieties are accepted to Slovakian Malthouses

RGT Planet is the first malting barley variety in Europa.

The two varieties that can be sown in autumn but are genetically spring varieties, In Slovakia it can be sown between 15 October to 10 November.

They are some interest to put spring barley in autumn :

• Increase the yields and the rentability, with all our results from the last three years in Slovakia we have in average 3t per ha more yield in autumn sowing compared to spring sowing
• Escape the hot temperature at the end of spring with early cycle production and also early harvest
• Limit the risks of loosing quality at the harvest.

RGT Planet was 1st variety in autumn sowing in SZVSP trials in 2023 and 3rd 2022. (cf. graphic)
